Levi’s deployed their digital assets in China, but were impeded by limited bandwidth within China that resulted in a slow loading (or not loading at all) website. Most Internet users expect load times between 1.5 to 5 seconds. Anything beyond this and a company can experience significant lead loss.

WPIC has tested thousands of websites and many International brand websites have load times of over 20 to 40 seconds (or more). The unique brand experience wears off quickly when staring at a blank screen.

Levi’s approached WPIC to test uptime and load times for its new China website. The site was too heavy for China’s lagging digital infrastructure and a strategy was formulated to deploy a lightweight version with mirrored content. The entire website was audited, inefficiencies identified and recommendation reports created for Levi stakeholder team to review and approve.

The site was then rebuilt and redeployed, with lightning fast load times, consistent uptime and the desired unique brand experience expected from Levi’s.
